Tottenham have ‘stepped up’ efforts to sign 12-goal star by contacting agent

Tottenham Hotspur are pushing hard for the signature of Fenerbahce star Sebastian Szymanski.

The North London club are on the lookout for opportunities to further bolster their squad ahead of next season. Ange Postecoglou wants to add more firepower to his attack and they are keen on acquiring the services of Sebastian Szymanski.

According to a report from Aksam, Spurs have ‘stepped up’ their efforts to sign the Polish international and have been in contact with his representatives.

Szymanski has been in exceptional form since joining Fenerbahce last summer. He has been involved in 52 games for the Turkish outfit and has managed to contribute towards 30 goals. The attacking midfielder has found the back of the net on 12 occasions and he has a total of 18 assists to his name. His impressive form has put him on the radar of multiple top clubs and quite a few of them have enquired about the availability of the 25-year-old.

Tottenham are one of the clubs that are keen on his signature and they have stepped up their interest by contacting his agents. Postecoglou is looking to strengthen his offence and Szymanski is a priority target for him. The Turkish club wants to keep hold of the Polish attacking midfielder but if he does end up leaving, they are looking for a significant transfer income.

Spurs want to move quickly as they want to avoid any potential competition from elsewhere and they are ready to meet Fenerbahce’s demand of €20 million. The North London club have knocked on the Turkish club’s door with a package containing various bonuses. With the player keen on making the move to England, there is a high possibility of the move going through.
